Low Vision Care - When visual impairment affects everyday life for you or your loved ones, we are here to help. This process begins with a comprehensive low vision evaluation by Dr. Stockstad to determine how much vision remains and what devices can help the patient. From there the patients will meet with Mindy, our certified Optician and Low Vision Specialist. Mindy will show and train the patient in using a variety of devices such as magnifiers, special reading glasses and lens tints that will aid the patient in the tasks they wish to perform such as reading the newspaper or hobbies. In special cases, a bioptic telescopic device can be prescribed in order to maintain driving privileges.
The process doesn't end there, our staff is always available to answer your questions and review magnification device instructions. We are here for anything you need to support you in your low vision care.
